The food was good and prepared quickly, and the women working there were nice. They have many drink options in the restaurant, which was pretty nice. The food wasn't spicy at all, so we're wondering if that's something maybe we should have had to request? Otherwise, we would absolutely come here again.

Reviews
Read the reviews and stopped in. This place did not disappoint! The salsa exceeded my expectations. The chile rellenos was on point. My husband ranted about the barbacoa, it was authentic barbacoa, not the brisket most restaurants serve. The quesabirria wasnβt greasy and so good. I didnβt expect to find such good food in Vernal.
Very clean restaurant, the food is good but very mild. They have a good salsa bar so you can turn up the heat if you want too. Laura was very nice and got us everything we needed.
We read the other reviews before we went. Sure enough, the outside might make you drive by. But that is a mistake. It was some of the best salsa I have ever had and that was the beginning of the meal. The burritos, beans, rice, mini chimis, guacamole, were so good. I ate until I could eat no more. It was so good I would happily return. I forgot to add the Horchata was delicious.
Good place for a quick meal. It's nothing super special, but I enjoy the unique menu that they provide. There is better Mexican restaurants in town when it comes to flavor. The difference between those businesses and El Sombrero is that the value of the meal is consistent with the price. The waitresses are very attentive to your table and they make sure that you are taken care of. The food always comes out to the table piping hot and quick.
Excellent Mexican fare in an old gas station, very inventive and authentic. Service was great and tasty food! Plenty of parking, menu selection cooked fresh to order. Not 5 star due to lackluster locale and lack of ambience. BUT, the food is great!
Love this little mexican spot! Went there for the first time today, ladies were so kind very attentive! Food was absolutely phenomenal, reasonably priced, great portions!! Everything I ate was so good and flavorful! Everything tasted fresh, toppings were good! Iβll definitely be going back again!
